Stimac Wants Ante Gotovina Involved At Serbia Match

Croatia football coach Igor Stimac made a dash to the home town of freed Croatian General Ante Gotovina yesterday after he was acquitted by a Hague Court.

Stimac, who declared his support for the Generals on his Facebook page before the verdict, told Jutarnji list that he will invite Gotovina and Mladen Markac to play a part when Croatia take on Serbia in World Cup Qualifying in March.

“I will invite Generals Gotovina and Markac to take the kick-off in the next qualifying match against Serbia,” said Stimac, who was in Pakostane celebrating the decision with Gotovina’s friends and family.
