Croatia’s success in the sport of karate has continued with 15-year-old Ines Grdenić winning silver at the European Karate Championships in Portugal…
Grdenić, who is from the Velika Gorica Karate Club near the capital Zagreb and was the Velika Gorica sportsperson of the year in 2013, took out second place in the under 47 kilogram category after wins over girls from Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Spain and Scotland. In the final Grdenić narrowly lost to a Slovakian. Last year Ines won bronze at the World Championships. (pic: adkvr.net)
