Serbian FA Warns Croatian Fans Ahead of World Cup Qualifier in Belgrade

croatia_fansThe Serbian Football Federation (FSS) have sent out a strong message to any Croatian fans thinking of going to this Friday’s World Cup qualifier between the two sides in Belgrade.

“Only Serbian fans, with valid tickets can attend the game, and tickets can only be sold at official locations, or assigned to local team fans,” said FSS, adding that any Croatian fans recognised in the stands will be thrown out and face charges. The 6 September fixture will be played under the conditions UEFA imposed for the first leg in Zagreb earlier this year, where no away fans were permitted into the stadium. The match will be played at Red Star Belgrade’s stadium with kick off at 20:45. German Felix Brych (38) has been given the task to officiate the match.
