Scrutiny Into State-Owned Companies Stepped Up

Changes are about to be made in the way that government-owned companies are scrutinised after the government this week appointed a coordinator to oversee how the companies operate.

“Every 15 days they must send me the balance of investments on a monthly basis, then every 15 days they must report to me about restructuring processes, and also every 15 days they must write a report about administration obstacles standing in the way of realising investments,” said Croatia’s Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport & Infrastructure Sinisa Hajdas Doncic, who this week was appointed as Coordinator of all state-owned companies.
