The Croatian football team have arrived in the small town of Sv. Martin na Muri in the very north of the country on Sunday…

After gathering and having a light training run in Zagreb on Saturday, the team made their way to Sv. Martin na Muri where they will be based until 27 May 2016. Croatia head coach Ante Čačić will not have his full squad until next with with some players yet to join up with the team due to club commitments. Vedran Ćorluka will join the side tomorrow, whilst Ivan Rakitić, Mario Mandžukić, and Darijo Srna arrive on 29 May. Champions League finalists Luka Modrić and Mateo Kovačić will join the side on 2 June.

“The priority is to refresh the team, to balance the training sessions, and to build the team, both technically and tactically, in the way that is necessary to play in France”, said Čačić.

Croatia will start their friendly warm-up internationals on 27 May against Moldova in Koprivnica. On 29 May the national team moves to Rovinj. They then will play their last friendly before heading to France against San Marino in Rijeka on 4 June.
