Oxford-Cambridge-Split Rowing Race to be Held Next Weekend in Split

Oxford-Cambridge-Split legends race

Oxford and Cambridge rowing teams, whose universities have famously raced against each other annually on the River Thames in the UK since the mid-1800’s, will once again race in front of the Split waterfront.

The famous race crews will be taking part in the 16th International Regatta “Sv. Duje” (St. Dominus), in Split on 6-7 May 2017.

This year will be the 13th time that Oxford and Cambridge have participated in the Croatian race which features the impressive Split team from Croatia.

Last year the Split rowing team were victorious, beaten the legendary Oxford and Cambridge crews to win the regatta. They will be hoping to again repeat the feat his year.

On Saturday 6 May dozens of international university rowing eights will take part in the regatta, with the Oxford-Cambridge-Split legends race taking part on Sunday 7 May.
