Alves (25), who goes by the nickname ‘Jo’, faces criminal charges after threatening team-mates Borislav Pilipović and Jure Obšivač with a knife after an argument broke out during an incident on 6 May. NK Istra 1961 have confirmed that one of their players was arrested and is being investigated by Pula police, and say that the club will also discipline the player.
