Medvescak Top Of EBEL After Sell Out Win In Zagreb

Croatian Ice Hockey club Medvescak remain firmly at the top of the EBEL league after beating Red Bull Salzburg to a packed out Arena stadium in Zagreb on Sunday night.

The Zagreb club have enjoyed a dream start to this season’s league, and they didn’t disappoint their fans who turned out in droves to watch them beat Salzburg 2:0. In what was a low scoring match that did not see any goals until late in the 2nd 3rd when Curtis Fraser scored. Brandon Buck doubled the lead to keep Medvescak at the top of the table.

“I can’t say that it is not important to be at the top of the league. It gives us a feeling of security, lifts the mood of the whole organisation and it is easier to play like that. At the moment it is very fun to be a part of Medvescak,” said coach Marty Raymond.
