Marin Čilić (28) has finished runner-up at The Queen’s Club Championship in London on Sunday.

The World No. 7 from Croatia lost to Spain’s Feliciano Lopez in the final of the Aegon Championship today at The Queen’s Club in three sets 6-4, 6-7, 6-7.

In a match which saw both players serve strongly, it was Čilić, who won the title in 2012, who got the first break in the 10th game to love to take the crucial first set 6-4.

The second set again saw both players hold serve without too much trouble, sending it into a tie-breaker. Lopez’s double mini-break at the start was enough to see him take the tiebreaker and the second set 7-6.

The third set was a carbon copy of the second set with both players not giving any chances on serve. The tiebreaker this time would again go the way of Lopez (10-8) as he took the match.

The Croatian has found a second home on the grass courts of The Queen’s Club, playing in three finals. Only Andy Murray (5), Andy Roddick (4) and Lleyton Hewitt (4) have reached the final on three or more occasions since 2000.
