Legend “Ciro” loses First Match Back In Croatian Football

Legendary football coach Miroslav “Ciro” Blazevic (77), famous for taking Croatia to third place at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, has lost his first game back in Croatian football on Friday night.

Blazevic’s Zagreb side went down 1-0 at home to Hajduk Split. The man who is known in Croatia as “the coach of all coaches” had not been involved in Croatia since 2008, when he was manager of his current side.

Blazevic has had stints in China, Iran, Bosnia, Greece, France and Switzerland.
