More injury blows for Croatia coach Ante Čačić ahead of World Cup qualifiers this week against Kosovo and Finland…

Yesterday captain and play-maker Luka Modrić was ruled out of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying away matches against Kosovo (6 October) and Finland (9 October) with a knee injury, now Čačić has been left without two more of his experienced players.

Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitić and Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren will both miss the matches due to injuries. Rakitić will be out of action for the next 10 days with inflammation of his Achilles tendon, whilst Lovren has been ruled out with a back injury.
