Home Sellers Feel The Pinch As Prices Continue To Drop In Croatia

Real Estate asking prices in Croatia fell once again last month. In May the asking price for real estate in the country fell 0.6% from the previous month, and 5.4% from the same month in 2012, according to data from CentarNekretnina.

On Croatia’s Adriatic coast prices continue to tumble, compared with data from April, the asking price for real estate on the coast dropped 1.2%, whilst on a yearly level prices have fallen 4%. The average asking price for an apartment on the Adriatic in May was 1,977 euros per square metre.

In the capital Zagreb asking prices fell 0.2% on a monthly level, and 6.5% on a yearly level as home sellers find it particularly tough in the current market. The average asking price in the capital in May 1,610 euros per square metre.
