Hajduk Split Lodge Appeal For Derby Result To Be Quashed

Hajduk Split football have sent an official complaint to the Commissioner for Competition of the Croatian Football league, the Commissioner for Referees and Referees body asking for their 2-1 loss in the Croatian derby to Dinamo Zagreb late last month to be nullified.

Hajduk Split want the derby result quashed and referee Ivan Bebek punished after they claim he missed an obvious handball in the penalty box from Dinamo Zagreb defender Sime Vrsaljko. The Split club are seeking the Competition Commissioner Josip Brezni to investigate information that mobile communication from the linesmen to Bebek in the 81st minute for him to award a penalty for Vrsaljko’s handball was ignored. If Bebek is found to have intentionally ignored the advice then Hajduk Split want the derby result quashed.
