Guests Flee As Blaze Destroys Hotel On Croatian Island

A fire in the small hours of Tuesday morning has destroyed part of a hotel on the Croatian island of Rab. Hotel Jadran went up in flames at around 2am as guests and workers fled the hotel.

Residents in the area of Lopar on Rab near where the hotel fire broke out feared that the fire would spread as 5 fire engines from the town of Rab and 3 from Lopar battled the blaze for over two hours. No one was injured during the fire, but the hotel’s second floor was completely destroyed, whilst the first floor and basement were flooded as the blaze was put out, reports daily 24sata.
