Goldman Sachs, Rothschild In Running To Be Croatian Motorway Concession Consultants

Tender’s from Goldman Sachs, Erste Group Bank and N. M. Rothschild from London are among eight bids vying to be consultants for the Croatian Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure as they look at giving away a concession to run Croatia’s Motorways, reports Vecernji list.

NNP Paribas from Paris, Macquaire Capital Europe London, Wolf Theiss Rechtsanwälte, the Croatian Economic Institute Zagreb and a consortium of lawyers make up the rest of the bids. The Commission will, within 45 days, decide on the most economically advantageous offer, stating that price will not be the only criterion.

The winning tender will help the Croatian government in the process of finding a partner who will run and maintain the nation’s motorways for a period of 30-35 years to help reduce public debt and repay loans taken out for highway construction.
