First Picasso, Now Joan Miró Exhibition in Croatia’s Capital

It may not quiet be Paris yet, but the Croatian capital has secured yet another world-class exhibition as it slowly puts itself on the exhibition map.

After recently hosting an exhibition of Picasso’s masterpieces, which set visitor records in the country, Zagreb will play host next autumn to an exhibition of the works of legendary Spanish painter and sculptor Joan Miró. On show at the exhibition, which will be held at the Art Pavillion in the capital, will be a number of Miró’s paintings, sculptures, tapestries and lithographs from the Margeurite and Aimé Maeght Foundation, which has more than 150,000 different works of art, including some of the key works of Kandinsky, Chagall,Miró and Braque, the gallery announced on Monday.
