Dubrovnik Stone Walls Bring In Over 50 Million Kuna In 2012

The famous stone Walls of Dubrovnik, which have surrounded the popular tourist city on Croatia’s Adriatic coast since prior to the 7th century, have set another visitor record in 2012.

During 2012 the Walls of Dubrovnik were one of the countries biggest attractions with 776,000 visitors, 11,000 more than in the record-setting year of 2009.

Daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija reports that from entry sales alone the famous walls generated more than 50 million kuna (6.6 million euros) in 2012.
