Dražen Petrović Voted Best European Basketballer in History

Boston Celtics vs Los Angeles Lakers 4/5/02Legendary Croatian basketball player Drazen Petrovic, who was tragically killed in a car accident on 7 June 1993, has been voted the Best European Basketballer in History by players at the current European Basketball Championships which is being held in Slovenia.

38 players had to select five players they thought were the best Europe had ever produced. France’s NBA star Tony Parker came second, with another Croatian, former Chicago Bulls gun Toni Kukoc in 7th place. Croat Dino Rađa, who played for the Boston Celtics, was in 16th spot.
