Croatian Sentenced To 15-Years Prison In Uruguay After Biggest Coke Bust In History

A 39-year-old Croatian has been sentenced to 15 years in a Uruguayan prison for possession of two tons of cocaine.

Anastazije Martincic was arrested in 2009 during the seizure of the largest amount of pure cocain in history (2,164 kilos), which had a value of over 100 million USD.

In summing up the judge said that Martincic was a very dangerous man for belonging to a Serbian-Croatian drug-trafficking ring. Several other members of the ring had been arrested in Croatia. The drugs which Martincic was caught with were heading from South America to Eastern Europe on board a luxury yacht.
