Croatian Parliament President Dies in America


After a long battle with illness, the president of the Croatian Parliament Boris Sprem has died early this morning European time at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, writes newspaper 24sata.

Boris Sprem (56) suffered from a sever malignant form of blood cancer. Despite intensive therapy in the US, Sprem’s condition deteriorated.

Sprem was born on 14 April 1956 in Koprivnicki Bregi in northern Croatia and was the president of the Croatian Parliament since 2011. His body will be brought back to Croatia in the coming days.
