Croatian Londoner Becomes Plitvice Lakes Millionth Visitor

One of Croatia’s most stunning tourist attractions, Plitvice Lakes National Park, has seen its one millionth visitor this year. Ljiljana Loncar, a Croat who has been residing in London for the past 16 years become the millionth visitor when she visited with her South African finace Michael Hayes.

Loncar, who is originally from the eastern Croatian town of Vinkovci, was presented with a seven-day free stay for two at hotel Jezero at Plitvice Lakes National Park, plus two complimentary tickets to all eight national parks in Croatia by Croatian Enviroment and Nature Minister Mihael Zmajlovic .

“We are extremely proud of our Plitvice Lakes, which was voted as one of the most beautiful national parks in the world back in 1949,” said Zmajlovic at the presentation, reported Croatian radiotelevision.
