Croatian Government Agrees to Finance Croatian Studies in Australia

The 10-year agreement to co-finance the Centre for Croatian Studies at Macquarie University in Sydney has expired in December, and on Thursday it was agreed that Croatia would finance the project to the tune of 150,000 AUD per year for the next five years. The deal was signed by the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, the State Office for Croats Outside Croatia, the Croatian Science Foundation (Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia) and Macquarie University (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia).

Prime Minister Zoran Milanović begins his 12-day tour of Australia and New Zealand next week, where he will also sign the new Working Holiday agreement with New Zealand, which will allow up to 100  young Croatians between 18 and 30 annually to work and study in New Zealand for up to 12 months.
