Croatian Girls Crowned Bowling World Champions

The Croatian team, coached by Željko Orehovec and consisting of Ana Bacan, Milana Pavlic, Ines Hasić, Ana Jambrović, Nataša Ravnić-Gašparini and Ines Maričić, were too good for hosts Germany in the final, winning convincingly 7:1 (3624:3492). Earlier in the day the Croatians beat the Czech Republic 6:2, before turning in an even more dominant performance in the final.

Maja Zver, Katarina Zajec, Ljiljana Peroš and Snježana Kramer, who did not play in the final, also received medals as part of the Croatian team.

Founded by the FIQ in 1973 in London. The World Tenpin Association (WTBA) counts approximately 250.000 members in 26 countries on three continents (Europe, America and Asia).
