Croatian And Serbian Ministers Meet For First Time After Hague Acquittal

Croatia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vesna Pusic has met with her Serbian counterpart Ivan Mrkic in Dublin today for the first time since the Hague acquitted Croatian generals Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markac.

Pusic said that the meeting was fruitful and the first step in the getting the two countries Prime Ministers, Zoran Milanovic and Ivica Dacic to meet. Dacic earlier this week said relations between the two nations were frosty after the Hague ruling. Dacic also accused Croatia of not taking initiative in helping advance cooperation.

Serbia’s Foreign Minister said the two countries needed to focus on the things which brings them closer together, such as joint projects which are currently in place.
