Croatia Without its Number 1 for Davis Cup Clash Against Great Britain

MarinCilicGreat Britain’s number one tennis player has been named in their Davis Cup team for the World Group play-off with Croatia, but Croatia’s number one has not.

World number three Andy Murray joins Dan Evans, James Ward and Colin Fleming for the tie which will take place from 13-15 September on clay, in Umag, with the winning nation qualifying for the elite World Group. Croatia’s Davis Cup selector Željko Krajan also named his team on Tuesday, and there was no sign of Croatia’s number one Marin Čilić. Ivan Dodig, Antonio Veić, Borna Ćorić and Mate Pavić  will have to do without Čilić, who is rumoured to be serving a suspension for a doping offence.
