1480714_749523158455565_9109022207111054088_nChristmas and New Years have been and gone but the tent erected in front of the War Veterans’ Affairs Ministry in Zagreb that is housing protestors is still up as the sit-in enters its 100th day on Tuesday…

The group, who begin their protest back in October last year, are demanding that the current government make legal changes to give them improved benefits. They also want the Veterans Minister Predrag Matić sacked from his position.

The veterans from Croatia’s war of independence, many of whom with 100% disabilities, say that they are prepared to stay 1,000 days in the tent if need be to get their demands met. Meetings held over the past few months between the group and the government have failed to produce any results, with the war veterans claiming that their requests have been ignored.
