Croatia To End Year With 4.4% Inflation – 3rd Highest In EU

Croatia will end the year with 4.4 percent inflation rate, the third highest of any EU country, according to a report from the Central Bureau of Statistics.

Only Hungary and Romania have a higher inflation rate. In November, goods and services prices dropped by 0.2 percent compared with the month of October, but increased by 4.4 percent compared with November 2011. Prices rose on average 3.2 percent in 2012.

Clothing and footwear prices rose 1.6 percent and furniture 0.5 percent last month, whilst the price of alcohol, tobacco, gas, water and electricity rose on average 0.1 percent.
