Croatia Near Top of EU Real Estate Ownership Rankings

Croatia has the third most real estate owners in Europe, with a rate going as high as 92.1%, according to the latest statistics from Eurostat. Romanians hold the number one spot with 96.6%, followed by Lithuania with 92.3%, just ahead of Croatia.  According to the report, below average real estate ownership rates were found in Germany (53.4%), Austria (57.5%) Switzerland (43.8%) and the UK (67.9%). Spain (82.7%) and Italy (72.9%) were both above the EU average ownership rate of 70.9% of the population.
