Croatia’s No.1 Danijel Subašić has again shown how big a heart he has by not forgetting where he came from.
The Monaco keeper has sent a package back to his old club in Croatia – NK Zadar- where it all started for him.
Inside the package was a whole lot of football gear, including dozens of pairs of boots. The package will come in very handy for the club.
“A package of football gear arrived from Monte Carlo! A big thank you to Danijel Subašić”, NK Zadar wrote on their official Twitter account.

The proud 32-year-old from Zadar retorted by sending a reply in a visual.
“We are from Zadar, Zadar is us.”

Subašić played for NK Zadar from 2003 to 2008, before he moved to Hajduk Split. In 2012 he moved to Monaco and is currently one of the best keepers in Europe. Great to see he has not forgotten where it all started.
NK Zadar now play in the Croatian 3rd division.
