Croatia Airlines Local Monopoly Soon To Be Broken

Croatia’s national carrier Croatia Airlines, who have enjoyed a monopoly on the domestic flight market in Croatia, are set to have some competition.

Zagreb-based charter carrier Trade Air are set to enter the scheduled sector and operate routes in Croatia after winning a Croatian government tender. Trade Air will “soon” be offering regular flights from the capital Zagreb to the eastern city of Osijek and also a round trip – Rijeka – Split – Dubrovnik – Rijeka. Trade Air announced that they will be using EMB-120’s for the flight.
