Counterfeit Currency Print Shop Busted In Croatia

An illegal currency print-shop has been busted by Croatian police in the town of Bjelovar. Thanks to help from Europol, 19 suspects were arrested as police raided several addresses in north-west Croatia on Tuesday.

The counterfeit cash ring was run by criminal gangs and police confirmed that during the arrests they seized 180,000 worth of counterfeit euros and close to 10,000 British pounds. The counterfeit notes were reportedly printed in Bjelovar and distributed in Croatia, Italy, Austria and Slovenia.
