Cinema Mediterranean – Returning Film to Dalmatian Towns this Summer

kino_mediteranCINEMA MEDITERRANEAN, a film project bringing films to small Dalmatian towns, will return for  the second time this summer..

The festival organisers, Mediterranean Film Festival Split and Marcella Film, say the projects aims to return films to small towns in which cinemas have been closed, and in the process  contribute to developing local tourism by presenting quality films to tourists in small towns. All films have Croatian and English subtitles, meaning foreign guests can also enjoy the films.

In 2012 Cinema Mediterranean attracted over 6,000 people all over Dalmatia, with more expected this year. Four new destinations have been added this year – Omiš, Trogir, Šibenik and Lastovo island. The project is financially supported by Croatian National Tourist Board and sponsored by Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board and Jadrolinija.
