How does one become the Cigar Smoking World Champion? This weekend in the Dalmatian city of Split you can find out…

Last year American Darren Cioffi kept a Montecristo No. 4 cigar smoking for 1 hour, 55 minutes and 35 seconds to beat 74 other competitors at the Cigar Smoking World Championship held at Club Mareva in Split, and this weekend a new champion will be crowned.

The Cigar Smoking World Championship is an event for which cigar lovers from all over the world gather in Split every first weekend in September. The best Slow Smokers in the world will go head to head on Saturday (5 September) at 5pm.

The organiser of this event, Cigar Club Mareva, creates a rich three-day programme through which guests are introduced to cultural heritage, natural beauties and excellent Croatian cuisine, all wrapped with a hint of glamour. The goal was to organise an event for passionate cigar smokers and to build friendships around the world.
