Blanket Of Snow Covers Croatia

Croatia was covered in a blanket of snow on Saturday morning with the state met office predicting more to fall across the nation on the weekend, including the Adriatic islands.

The capital Zagreb was hit with around 20cm of snow early on Saturday morning, whilst 36 cm was recorded in Gospic in the Lika region of Croatia. Karlovac recorded 19 cm, whilst port city Rijeka had 17 cm.

Snow was even recorded on the northern Adriatic island of Krk, with 15 cm falling. The met office warned that snow could fall till Monday, with around 30 cm of fresh snow expected in some regions to fall till then.
