Bikinis For Beanies As First Snow Forecast For Croatia

Croatia’s Indian summer looks set to end with a bite this weekend – with the arrival of snow. Locals will be swapping their bikinis for beanies this weekend all over Croatia as the season’s first snowfall is predicted.

Some parts of the country are expected to receive up to 5 centimetres of snowfall on Saturday. Parts of Medimurje, Zagorje and Slavonia in the east are expected to be worst hit, but forecasters are even predicting snow for the coastal region of Rijeka.

Croatian beaches this week have still seen swimmers with comfortable sea temperatures of 21 degrees in Dalmatia. Air temperatures of a pleasant 25 degrees are set to take a big turn when the front hits the country on Friday.
