Australians and Americans Supporting Hajduk Split With Their Wallets

Hardcore Hajduk Split football club supporter Ante Maricic-Bjane has purchased six match tickets for Hajduk’s cup tie against city rivals RNK Split tonight. Nothing unusual about that. Only thing is Ante lives in Australia and has no intention of going to today’s match.

Maricic-Bjane is one of many fans from around the world to back Hajduk Split supporters club “Bilo Srce’s”, initiative called “If your sad and you can’t come to Poljud (stadium)”.

The humanitarian action has seen tickets purchased from Australia, Belgium, France, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, and America. Fans from cities in Croatia have also been buying the match tickets.

Australian Maricic-Bjane has asked for his tickets to go to an old school professor he had when he was going to school in Split, instead of sending them to him signed by the team, which is what “Bilo Srce” do for the fans who purchase tickets and can not make the match.

Anyone interested in supporting the club from a far can visit Bilo Srce here: http://www.bilosrce.com/
