70% Of Croatian Households Can’t Cover Monthly Expenses

Around 70 percent of Croatian households can not manage to cover all their monthly expenses with their incoming income, according to results of a survey from research group GfK.

Some 50 percent of households says that they can not cover their monthly expenses, while 11 percent need to dip into savings to meet their expenses each month and 8 percent need to borrow to cover all costs. The bad news is that every second household today is in a worse financial position that it was in one year ago and 42 percent state that things will get worse than they our currently.

” Even worse financial positions we predict for 50 percent of households in northern Croatia and Slavonia and those with a household income up to 3,500 kuna (465 euros),” explains GfK, who conducted the survey with over 1000 households.
