62-Year-Old Croat New World Wrestling Champion

62-year-old Croat Zvonko Erak is the new World Greco-Roman Wrestling Veteran Champion..

Erak, who is from Šibenik on the Dalmatian coast, took out the 2015 World Championships in the U-76kg category which have just been held in Greece. It is the third World title that the wrestling coach and physical education teacher has won.

Erak first took up the sport of wrestling when he was 12 years old, and at the age of 22 he become the champion of Yugoslavia.

The World Champion, who says that order, work and discipline have been the key to his successes, has no intention of retiring any time soon.

“While I am still able to wrestle I will. It is my life. I will probably die on the mat,” Zvonko said.
