4 Medals for Croatian Students at 27th International Olympiad in Informatics

Croatian students have again excelled at an international science Olympiad…

This time it was at the 27th International Olympiad in Informatics, the most prestigious annual competitive programming competition for secondary school students, which was held in Kazakhstan.

Croatian students picked up 3 silver and 1 bronze medal at the event, which featured 322 competitors from 83 countries. Ivan Lazarić (Pula), Tonko Sabolčec (Zagreb) and Domagoj Bradač (Zagreb) all won silver medals, whilst Mihael Liskij (Zagreb) won bronze.

The International Olympiad in Informatics is the most prestigious annual competitive programming competition for secondary school students. It is the second largest Olympiad, after International Mathematical Olympiad, in terms of number of participating countries. The contest consists of two days of computer programming and problem-solving of algorithmic nature.
