28-Year-Old Message In A Bottle Turns Up In Croatia From Canada

A group of keen sailors taking part in cleaning up initiative at the foot of the Neretva river on Croatia’s southern Dalmatian coast have found a 28-year old message in a bottle which has come to Croatia all the way from Canada, writes Dubrovacki vjesnik.
“I was cleaning up all the bottles and then I noticed that one of them had a letter inside. I unrolled the wet papaer and it read: Mary, you really are a special person, I hope we stay in contact. I promised I would write to you. Always your friend Jonathon. Nova Scotia ’85,” said Matea Medak-Rezic (23) who made the discovery.
